  1. This is definitely genuine. I was on the original iPod team (the ‘SPG’ above stands for Special Products Group) and saw many of these in 2001 before the October 2001 launch. Without another example of one of these stealth prototypes, this unit would be the oldest iPod known to exist. Up to now I had thought all of the prototypes had been destroyed…P68 or Dulcimer – what we called the first iPod (codenames) – live on!
